Quiet, clean, simple, so you can enjoy the beautiful village of Pefkos and its pristine crystal-clear waters. Spacious fully-equipped kitchen so you can enjoy home-cooked meals on the balcony or terrace. Pefkos or Pefki is a quiet little fishing village - cum - tourist resort. It is relatively green (compared to most Greek islands and the south of Rhodes), and has many pine trees (where it takes its name from Pefkos = Pine Tree in Greek). Pefkos has many lovely sandy beaches, with clear waters and family-friendly access (meaning that the sea doesn't suddenly deepen very early). Here you will find a plethora of fine and traditional restaurants, modest bars and some fantastic beach cafe - restaurants with amazing views. Room and apartment rentals and some small hotels dotted about in the area, and a handful of fishing boats out in the sea! Pefkos is perfect for a relaxing holiday in the sun, and for travelers looking for peace, quiet and beautiful nature on their visit. It is not necessary to have a car in order to enjoy a holiday in Pefkos, unless you really want to explore the whole island. If you are just looking to relax and enjoy the sun and the sea, you can reach all amenities in Pefkos on foot. There are regular buses to Lindos and Rhodes town daily. The KTEL bus service from Rhodes & Lindos makes a stop a 5 - 1 0 minute walk from the apartments. The Main bus stop and Taxi rank is 5 - 10 minutes' walk away. Shuttle services from the airport will drop you off at the premises. Should you wish to rent a car, this can be arranged to be waiting for you at the airport on arrival. There is no lifeguard on duty at the pool, so please make sure that your children stay safe. The swimming pool is full from beginning of May until the end of October. It may be full in April and November too, but please ask to check! Finally, we want to emphasise that Pefkos is a lively family destination in the summer season, from beginning of May to the end of October, with a myriad of great bars, cafes and restaurants on offer. In the winter months, however, most businesses are shut, making it a very, very quiet place. Most winters there are one or two supermarkets that remain open (with limited opening hours), and possibly one restaurant/bar. For more options in the winter months, it is necessary to visit places beyond Pefkos, like Lardos, 4 km away. Plakia beach is arguably the best-loved beach on the island. You may rent a sunbed with umbrella, or take your own to the beach.
